Discovery! is a dynamic, three part program that takes its participants on a personal journey where they discover what they really want, how to make it happen, and define their true purpose in life.

David Dachner was involved as a volunteer and facilitator with the program for 12 years in Dallas when he and partner/co-facilitator, Bob Posey, acquired the rights to operate the Discovery! program in Austin called Discovery! Austin as a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization in July, 2008.

Our commitment at Discovery! Austin is to help people help themselves get rid of what is not working in their lives, bring out their God-given gifts and talents, and assist them in identifying their true purpose in life. Ultimately, Discovery! Austin helps produce people who are actively engaged in life and are motivated to live beyond themselves.

The Abundant Life Foundation has been providing monthly scholarships to participants that are unable to afford this life-changing, motivational program since 2004.

Since 2004, several hundred individuals have been awarded scholarships totaling:

• 2004 - $24,542
• 2005 - $65,007
• 2006 - $70,393
• 2007 - $75,221
• 2008 - $100,000 (estimated)

To qualify for a scholarship, the applicant should meet the financial requirement of an annual household income of less than $50,000 per year. An application plus two reference letters need to be submitted. Once reviewed by a scholarship committee, a final interview is conducted. Upon approval, the applicant will be scheduled for an available program date.

Through your generous support and the grace of God, we have seen amazing and lasting changes in the lives of many. Individuals have found healing and forgiveness from their past and hope for their future. Marriages that were in separation are now restored and revived. People have broken free from addictions of alcohol, drugs, food, sex, and tobacco. Those contemplating suicide have the new found desire to live life again. The result of your donations is the miracle of partnering with us in changing lives of individuals and families which creates a powerful impact in the world around us.
